Cooper Carry, Inc has received an Honorable Mention in the commercial category for the Charlottesville Fashion Square. This 573,620 square foot retail space was in desperate need of a renovation as local shoppers began traveling greater distances to new competing venues.
To create a stylish feel and the sophistication that customers desired, the design team chose to use Italian tile throughout the interior common areas. Emilceramica tiles in colors: bianco, avoirio, anthracite, noce, grigio and sabbia were installed as the flooring. The tiles were arranged in a variety of classical patterns to distinguish different spaces and create an overall look of elegance.
Since the completion of the project, the mall has seen increased shopping traffic and has even been able to attract several new and prominent retailers.
