This sixth edition of Europolis, a major international showcase of products for rehabilitating urban areas and the environment, is devoted specifically to liveability and protection of the urban environment.
Divided into various theme areas (Urban Design, Mobility and Traffic, Sports and Recreational Facilities, Swimming Pools and Fitness, Urban Forestation and Equipped Green Areas, Environment, Systems, Services and Technology, Culture), the exhibition represented an important forum where public and private organisations met industry professionals.
At this year's Urban Design Exhibition, Ceramic Tiles of Italy was present with a 200 square metre information stand. Highly competent staff offered technical information on the usage and characteristics of ceramic tiles and handed out promotional publications and literature on the Italian ceramic tile industry.
To demonstrate the versatility of ceramic tile and the wide scope it offered for applications in urban design, photos from recent architectural projects featuring Italian ceramic tiles (airports, stations, shopping centres, metros, exterior walls of buildings, galleries and hospitals) was projected on a Videowall during the exhibition.
