Expectations are high for Mosbuild 2008, an exhibition that has experienced varying fortunes in the past but now boasts an excellent reputation. Mosbuild 2008 is Russia’s most important international-level exhibition for the building sector and will be held in the Expocentr and Crocus Expo exhibition centres in Moscow from 1 to 4 April.
More than 2,500 companies from different product sectors will be exhibiting in a total space of 120,000 sq.m. Of the many sectors featured in the show, Ceramics & Stone is certainly one of the most important. Hosted in pavilions 2, 6 and 8 and the outdoor area, it extends over a total of 11,000 sq.m and includes 350 exhibitor companies.
The more than sixty Italian ceramic companies, along with numerous Russian distributors of the most prestigious and representative Italian brands, will mainly be concentrated in Hall 3 of Pavilion 2, now referred to as the Italian Pavilion. The Ceramic Tiles of Italy stand will act as a focal point for the entire Italian presence. This institutional stand acts as an info point for visitors and as a meeting place for Italian companies and includes a restaurant area run by an Italian catering firm for exhibitors and their customers. Various publications and CD-ROMs on the Italian ceramic tile industry will be distributed to visitors, the most important of which – most notably the Spring/Summer 2008 issue of Cer Magazine International – are published in Russian.
With more than 120,000 visitors, the 14th Mosbuild confirms its position as the foremost Russian exhibition and the ideal opportunity for manufacturers and distributors to meet industry professionals, architects, designers and contractors from the rapidly expanding building industry. Testifying to Russia’s growing importance as an export market for Italian products, the Italian ceramic industry is for the first time organising a specific award for a Russian importer who excels for loyalty to Italian products, competence and professionalism, solvency, fair business practices and turnover. The 2008 award went to Moscow-based firm Credit Ceramica. The award ceremony will be held on the afternoon of Wednesday 2 April.
